Consistency. Commitment. Communication. Care. These are the qualities make Shawn Kaplan stand out in the mortgage industry.

Consistency. As the Branch Manager and a Senior Loan Officer at Legacy Mutual Mortgage in Brentwood, TN, Shawn has served the Middle Tennessee market for over 16 years as a Home Mortgage Professional. During this time, Shawn has been honored to assist over 5,000 families with home financing for more than $500 million in closed real estate transactions. With a commitment to meeting deadlines, the Kaplan team work together to ensure that closings are consistently on time and that clients are happy.  Of the 280 families helped in 2016, 98% received an on-time closing.

Commitment. For most people, the purchase of real estate is the largest financial commitment that they will make in their lives.  Shawn and his team share in that commitment by accepting the responsibility to guide them through the process. Because of this charge, the Kaplan Team ensures clients and sellers be confident in the strength of the pre-approval letter.

Communication.  It is important that clients and partners have complete confidence in their lender.  To ensure that trust, Shawn is motivated by building relationships and through transparency.  He takes time with clients to describe the benefits of homeownership, the application process, and what documentation is needed. With the Kaplan Team’s tried and true 20-point WOW Service communication plan, clients and realtors are ensured concierge level service from pre-approval through closing and beyond.

Care. “I work in the mortgage industry because I am devoted to having a positive influence in the lives of my Clients and Business Partners.” Shawn views his role in the mortgage industry as a service to his community.  He genuinely cares for his clients, partners, team and community.  In his personal time, Shawn serves in several capacities such as District 19 County Commissioner, Non-Profit Director for the Coffee Drop Project, and organizing and leading mission trips to Israel. Together with his wife, Jennifer, and their two daughters, Elliana and Stella, Shawn cares for his community by sharing his time and resources to food advocacy programs.

By focusing on building trust, clearly communicating, and adhering to strict timelines, Shawn provides an exceptional experience through the mortgage process.
